Community Involvement
To the Sioux Falls Jaycees, giving back to our communities is part of our nature... and this goes beyond the reach of our own projects. Jaycee members have proudly jumped in to volunteer and sponsor various events throughout Sioux Falls.
Feeding South Dakota
The Sioux Falls Jaycees has collected canned goods each year at the annual haunted house, our biggest fundraiser of the year. In 2018, the haunted house collected over 4,000 pounds of food to donate to Feeding South Dakota just in time for the holiday season.
Relay for Life
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser has been able to help thousands of people across the globe with breakthrough research, crucial patient care programs, and education and prevention initiatives. The Sioux Falls Jaycees are proud to be a sponsor of the Survivor’s tent, and to participate as a team during the event.
Jazz Fest
JazzFest was an incredibly popular annual fundraising event for the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society that draws huge crowds through their operation into 2019. In 2018, JazzFest saw attendees from 44 states and nine countries! The Sioux Falls Jaycees joined the 750 volunteers that helped out each year to help make the event a success.
1st Annual Pork Palooza
The Jaycees had a blast helping put on the 1st Annual Pork Palooza event in Downtown Sioux Falls! The event, held at 8th & Railroad, features local beer, local music, local BBQ & local pork producers. All proceeds went directly to Feeding South Dakota.
